... But not really. Joking aside, working at Gatineau is hard work. Our chefs are up around 3am on week days and Sundays and they start at midnight on Saturdays (our busiest day of the week). All our products are artisanal using French techniques, meaning that you need to have the right skill for the job.
We produce goods not only for our main shop but also for over 30 wholesale clients - and we are on the way to growing that number! This means there are also opportunities to grow with us into more senior roles.

Gatineau has been trading successfully for over 10 years and our clients have high expectations when it comes to our products. We use high quality ingredients, most of them coming from France, in order to keep the authenticity and great taste in everything we do. So we have the same expectations for our staff that our clients have for our products.
We will teach you all that you need to know to do a great job with us, but we look for people who are passionate for what they do, determined, resilient, resourceful, and who enjoy the every day challenges of the job as well as being part of a team.
A lot of our staff are French but we have an array of other nationalities working with us and we are always happy to keep this mix growing. Every year we have interns coming from partner schools in France and Belgium, so there are always new people around helping the business keep fresh and young.
New opportunities are always coming up here at Gatineau, either as shop assistant, pastry chef, baker, delivery driver, and the likes.
